I identify as an Indian actor, don’t want to differentiate between South and Bollywood – Vijay Deverakonda
Vijay Deverakonda is one of the biggest and most entertaining superstars that we are blessed to have in the Indian entertainment industry. The man has been an absolute rage in the South entertainment industry for many years. It was only after the gigantic success of Arjun Reddy and its remake aka ‘Kabir Singh’ did things change drastically for him. He became a Pan-India star immediately and soon, Karan Johar offered him a debut in Bollywood with ‘Liger’. The movie also stars Ananya Panday in the lead role.
During the trailer launch event at Mumbai, when Vijay was asked about his ambitions in Bollywood and Hindi cinema and what he would like to do here, the actor was quoted as saying,
“Well, I think a little differently. I identify myself as an Indian actor and I know very well for myself that I don’t want to differentiate between South and Bollywood or any other languages. A lot of popular actors from Hindi cinema too have done great work in South. Mr. Anil Kapoor for example. As an actor, I don’t want to think like that. I am an Indian actor who’s fond of acting and hence, I want to do movies in different languages. For me, that’s it.”
Liger is all set to release in cinemas on 25th August, 2022. How excited are you all for the movie ladies and gentlemen? Let us know your views in the comments section below and for more updates, stay tuned to IWMBuzz.com
