Prabhas had planned a career in the hotel industry because he had always assumed he was too bashful to emote in front of the camera. But it was with the Baahubali film series that he not only broke into show business but also achieved global renown. The actor admits that he still feels self-conscious at public gatherings and is still learning how to deal with fame.
When he goes to interviews, he is still shy. He wants a large number of people to come to see his film, but he can’t face (that many). In an honest interview with IANS, Prabhas revealed.
After 13-14 years in the business, he still hasn’t found out how to cope with stardom. His fans are dissatisfied since their hero does not come as regularly as they would like. He is a better guy than he was before, and he is always seeking to improve, he said.
Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju, his father, is a well-known producer, and his uncle, Krishnam Raju Uppalapati, is also well-known in Telugu movies.
Many people would believe that his family’s filmmaking background would naturally entice him to pursue a career in the industry. That was not the case, though.
Prabhas claims he had refused his family’s proposal to try his luck in the field and that he still doesn’t know what changed his mind.
“My uncle is an actor, and my father is a producer, so they asked if I was interested, and I was like, ‘How can someone act in front of so many people with lights and emote?’ I used to be timid…” His parents asked him once or twice, and he said it was impossible.
He had planned to start some business because he is indolent and unable to work. He had considered going into the hotel industry because his family enjoys dining. And north Indian cuisine is well-known.
However, his roles as Amarendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali from the Baahubali universe altered the game for him, making him famous both in India and throughout the world.
After the success of Baahubali, Prabhas reveals that he is afraid of failing on future ventures.
“Every picture contains a strong element of fear of failure. It was there for Baahubali; then, after the first installment, it was present for the second installment. There are so many expectations now, and the public expects to see something different… Fear is present, but what we can do is believe in something and work hard to achieve it.
