Sophie Turner is all grown up in a sexy black and white dress, view pics

Sophie Turner attended the Academy Awards in February wearing a stunning sage—and environmentally conscious—Galvan for Opening Ceremony gown, as well as a charming one-shouldered purple gown during the Game of Thrones premiere. While the Academy Awards might be one of the most important fashion events in the United States, Turner had the opportunity to step it up a notch and embrace some edgier style choices befitting a European red carpet at the Venice Film Festival. Turner’s style is timeless, but it’s bolder than anything we’ve seen from her previously.

The low-cut, monochromatic gown, along with Sophie Turner’s stunning blonde waves, made the Game of Thrones heroine practically unrecognizable from the red-headed Sansa Stark we grew up watching on TV. Turner’s natural hair color is blonde (you may recall it from her Game of Thrones audition), and she chose to go back to it for her role as a rebellious teen in the film Huntsville.

Sophie Turner didn’t come to Venice because of Huntsville. Turner was nominated for the Kinéo Diamanti Award for her roles in Game of Thrones and X-Men: Apocalypse. “Every year for the Worldwide Prize, we attempt to locate a figure who has received a lot of interest in the international and Italian audience,” says Tiziana Rocca, the award’s presenter. “We are overjoyed that Sophie Turner has consented to appear in Venice since she embodies both skill and professionalism, which will be the most successful combination.”

Turner kept her composure while strolling the red carpet, but she let her joy get the best of her upon winning the prize.
