The sudden and tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, after the talented actor and future star ended his life merely at the age of 34, has spurred a burning rage against nepotism in Bollywood, the kind hitherto never seen. And, regardless which side of "logic" you lean on this debate, if you do have an opinion (informed or not), the fact lies that the topic doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Now, Sushant's brother-in-law, Vishal Kirti, has decided to add more fuel to the fir with something called the 'Nepometer'.
Yes, you read that right, and if you're wondering if it is what you're imagining it to be, then let's tell you that it precisely what you're imagining it to be. The Nepometer will be designed as a platform where Bollywood movies and Hindi TV shows will be judged and rated on its cast and crew members being independent or having connection to film families.
Announcing the launch of the Nepometer, Sushant Singh Rajput's brother-in-law, Vishal, wrote on his Twitter handle: "Created by my brother @mayureshkrishnain the memory of my brother in law @itsSSR," while retweeting a post that reads, " Fight Bollywood Nepotism with information. We will provide rating for movies based on how nepotistic or independent movie crew is. If the #nepometer is high, then it's time to #boycottbollywoodnepotism #fightnepotism."
