Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur turns a year older today. Wishes have come pouring in for him from his family members. Shahid Kapoor's wife, Mira Rajput posted a sweet wish for him on social media. It was truly a sweet wish as it involved mangoes. After reading the caption, it looked like both Pankaj Kapur and Mira Rajput were fans of the 'Safeda' variety of mangoes. The rest of the family enjoys Alphonsos. Mira Rajput also called him the coolest and 'Bestest' dad in the world. As we know, Pankaj Kapur is quite a family man. He dotes on Mira and his grandkids, Misha and Zain.
As we know, Pankaj Kapur played a huge role in bringing together Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput. Shahid Kapoor and his dad, Pankaj are ardent followers of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas and regularly attend the prayer meets. It was during one such satsang that they met Mira Rajput and her family. It was an arranged marriage. Despite a gap of 13 years, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput connected and got married.
He had opened up to Hindustan Times on how it was tough to stay away from Shahid Kapoor after he divorced Neelima Azim. He said, "As Shahid said, it is very difficult to explain. For a father, to separate from his son is not easy. It was a huge emotional loss for me [the last time around] and I started living with the hope that there will come a time when we will come close to each other again. And today, it's a great feeling to sit next to him, see his work or hear him speak and bond with the family."
